Whitney won a vehicle safety kit with a year of roadside assistance at the First Nations Safety Conference in Richmond last month. This conference was the first event of its kind to be held by the First Nations Safety Council of BC; its theme was Safe Nations – Safe Opportunities. The First Nations Safety Council is committed to pursuing the highest standards of occupational health, safety and environmental management, seeking to bridge the gap between traditional knowledge and industry best practices.
In addition to winning a vehicle safety kit, Whitney was pleased to attend this conference for the great educational and networking opportunities it provided. She plans to continue to develop her safety knowledge using the resources offered by the First Nations Safety Council and Road Safety At Work.
